Ronaldo, that ace footballer, hinted on Monday that he might depart Al Nassr. His statement came after he declared a "chapter concluded" mere hours following the conclusion of the Saudi Pro League.

CR7 Announces End to Al-Nassr Tenure

Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, 40, who moved to Al Nassr from Manchester United in 2022, faces an uncertain future with the Saudi club as his contract ends this summer. A unique transfer window, intended to accommodate the 32 participating teams in the Club World Cup, runs from June 1-10. Despite this, Al-Nassr won't be in the tournament, unlike their fellow Saudi side Al Hilal.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino hinted at discussions about Ronaldo's potential participation in the Club World Cup, which starts on June 14 in the United States. "There are discussions," Infantino stated last week, adding, " If any club is interested in hiring Ronaldo for the Club World Cup, who knows, who knows."

Ronaldo himself seemed to hint at a move with a cryptic post on social media, featuring a photo of him in an Al Nassr jersey, stating, "This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all."

Although Al Nassr lost in the semi-finals of the Asian Champions League last month to Japan's Kawasaki Frontale and finished third in the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo was the league's top goal scorer with 24 goals.

Last year, Ronaldo suggested the possibility of ending his career with Al Nassr, though recent discussions have centered on his potential short-term transfers to other clubs in order to participate in the Club World Cup. Brazilian clubs and Morocco's Wydad Casablanca have shown interest, while there have been speculations of a return to Real Madrid due to flexible squad registration rules for the tournament. However, any participation would necessitate joining a qualified team for the Club World Cup, as Al Nassr failed to secure a spot.

Ronaldo's great rival, Lionel Messi, will play at the Club World Cup with Inter Miami. During a recent interview, Infantino stated that there might be a possibility of Ronaldo joining one of the Club World Cup teams.
