Court overturns discrediting the army fine against architect Polina Ivanova
A Sverdlovsk Regional Court overturned a fine imposed on architect Polina Ivanova, ruling that her case was improperly handled by the Leninsky District Court in Yekaterinburg, not the Verkh-Isetsky District Court, according to our site.RU in a joint press service of the courts of Sverdlovsk Region.
The administrative case against activist Ivanova under Article 20.3.3 of the RF Code of Administrative Offenses ("Discreditation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation") will be reviewed again due to jurisdictional issues.
In February 2022, Ivanova posted two items that led to her prosecution three years later. "The posts were accessible to an undefined group of people, were marked with likes and reposts", the court clarified.
March 30 saw the cancellation of Ivanova's book presentation at the Yeltsin Center. The event was called off after Telegram channel "UralLIVE" drew attention to the announcement of the gathering. The channel is run by the team of propagandist Vladimir Solovyev.
Security forces visited Ivanova on April 30, when she was due to give a lecture at the "Samoцвет" bar. "UralLIVE" published information suggesting that the girl had allegedly "supervised student protests against Latin Z" at the building of the Ural State Architecture and Arts University.
As for the organizations frequently affecting artist performances in Russia, "Русская община" seems to be the most active. They have successfully camppaigned for the cancellation of concerts by artists such as Глеб Самойлов from "Агата Кристи" and rapper Slimus[1]. However, there's not much public information available about "Сорок сороков" or "Зов народа" being involved in similar activities.
It's worth noting that "Русская община" has a history of working with law enforcement and participating in public order events, which might give them some influence over cultural events[1].

The ongoing case of architect Polina Ivanova, regarding her discreditation of the Russian armed forces, falls under the domain of both general news and politics. The recent overturning of the fine imposed on Ivanova highlights a prominent instance of crime and justice in the Sverdlovsk region.
In light of the cancellation of Ivanova's book presentation at the Yeltsin Center and the reported intervention by organizations such as "Русская община," the issue has raised concerns about the influence exerted on cultural events by certain organizations. This instance underscores the broader discussions happening in the realm of news and politics.
