Cheers for the Deemed Execution of Bamise's Killer! 🎉
Court Imposes Capital Punishment for the Killer of Bamise in Praise by HURIWA
That's right, mate! The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) is bloody thrilled about the death sentence handed down to the callous BRT driver who took the life of 22-year-old Lagos-based fashion designer, Bamise Ayanwola.
According to HURIWA, this brutal act was nothing short of "gruesome and bestial barbarism". They believe the death sentence is the bloody perfect legal punishment for such heinous behavior.
Moreover, HURIWA has also lauded the Abuja High Court's decision to sentence the murderous husband of gospel singer, Osinachi, to death by hanging. Judge Nwosu-Iheme dished out the sentence[1].
In a statement issued by the National Coordinator, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, HURIWA stated that it's high time that killers face legal execution, seeing as they casually snuff out our fellow citizens' lives[2].
Although the Lagos case took a while to reach a verdict, HURIWA is chuffed that the court system eventually delivered a suitable punishment for this appalling, unforgivable crime[3].
The group likened the court's decision to a decisive and acceptably brutal slap up for the wicked, atrocious killing of a precious soul like Bamise, who was just trying to make her way home from work.
HURIWA hopes that if the convicted killer decides to file an appeal, it won't drag on forever. After all, as they say, justice delayed is justice denied, and Bamise's death shouldn't be covered up.
