Court hearing for Jimi Blue Oxenknecht on the 22nd of August.
In a surprising turn of events, German actor Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht is set to appear in court in Austria on August 22, 2025, to answer charges of serious fraud related to an unpaid hotel bill from 2021. The bill, amounting to around 14,000 euros, was left unpaid despite multiple reminders, offers of installment payments, and court orders.
The incident occurred during a stay at a hotel in Tyrol late in 2021. Ochsenknecht was provisionally arrested and taken into custody at Hamburg Airport at the end of June 2025, following an international arrest warrant issued by Austrian authorities. He was later transferred to Innsbruck via a multi-day journey with stopovers.
During his detention, Ochsenknecht acknowledged his mistakes publicly on Instagram. His ex-partner, Yeliz Koc, reportedly paid the outstanding hotel bill on his behalf.
The trial will take place at the Innsbruck Regional Court, with the main hearing scheduled for late August. According to reports, the court appearance is expected to last approximately an hour. Ochsenknecht told the judge he would take responsibility for the matter but did not comment on the charges against him.
This is not the only accusation against Ochsenknecht. In 2021, he allegedly ran up a 1,900-euro bill at the Miss Cho restaurant in Graz without paying. This led to a complaint filed with the public prosecutor in Graz and Braunschweig.
The court case has gained media attention due to Ochsenknecht's celebrity status, but it will reportedly be handled without leniency. The case is significant enough to be included in the family's TV series "Diese Ochsenknechts".
Meanwhile, filming for the second part of the fourth season of "Diese Ochsenknechts" began in March and is set to continue until September. During this time, Ochsenknecht is currently living with his sister Cheyenne in Austria.
It is worth noting that the outstanding bill has since been settled. Ochsenknecht's court appearance and extradition were previously reported by the "Tiroler Tageszeitung".
