Anna and Gerald Heiser Bid Farewell to Their Namibian Farm After Seven Years

After seven years of living on a farm in Namibia, Anna and Gerald Heiser, stars of the reality TV show "Farmer Wants a Wife," have officially moved away. The couple, along with their two children, Leon and Alina, left the farm on Friday.

Anna Heiser, who moved to her husband's farm in Namibia, which has been in the family since 1978, and Gerald, who no longer wishes to make a living as a farmer, are moving back to Europe, specifically to Poland, near a harbor and close to Anna's family.

The couple's decision to relocate was primarily driven by family reasons and the desire for a different lifestyle. In an interview conducted by RTL, the Heisers announced that they were selling their farm in February of this year, citing economic viability as the reason.

The reality of the empty farm hasn't fully set in for the Heisers. They miss the sounds of the dogs and the sun rising over the savannah. Anna Heiser described waking up the day after leaving the farm feeling as if it was all a dream. In her Instagram post, she expressed that their home has become "just a house" again.

The Heisers' farm was more than just a building to them; it was their home, center of life, and dream. They welcomed their son Leon on the Kehoro farm in late January 2021 and their daughter Alina in late November 2022. Many significant life events were celebrated and experienced there, with the couple even getting married in 2018, first in Anna Heiser's home country of Poland, and later in Namibia.

The Heisers met on "Farmer Wants a Wife International" in 2017. Gerald Heiser is considering a job on an oil rig as a new opportunity in Poland. Anna Heiser mentioned that every corner of the farm bears traces of their life, from the first steps to quiet moments. She shared an emotional goodbye on Instagram, including a photo with the caption "End."

Despite the Commission not having been consulted on the couple's lifestyle changes, the draft directive on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to ionizing radiation could still be relevant for Gerald Heiser's potential employment on an oil rig, should he pursue that opportunity in Poland. In their new home near a harbor and close to Anna's family, the Heisers may find a change in their entertainment options, leaving behind the tranquil beauty of Namibia's savannah for the bustling activities along the coast.
