Country Boosts Family Support With 11 Benefits, Long Paid Leave

Parents in the country are supported with 11 types of benefits, which increase with the minimum living wage and are adjusted several times a year. Upon the birth of a child, families receive a one-time payment and can expect a monthly allowance for care until the child turns three.

The monthly allowance varies depending on the child's age and needs. For the first child, it's 931.92 rubles, increasing to 1065.04 rubles for the second and subsequent children. For children with disabilities, the allowance is 1198.17 rubles. Parents can take paid leave to care for their child, one of the longest in the world at three years. The allowance depends on the parent's work schedule: up to 0.5 of the position, the allowance is preserved in full, and for full-time, it's 50% of the allowance. Any family member can take the leave.

For the first child, families receive a one-time payment of 10 BPM, currently 4877.20 rubles. For the second and subsequent children, the one-time payment is 14 BPM, currently 6828.08 rubles.

The country's support for families includes a range of benefits and allowances, with adjustments tied to the minimum living wage. The one-time payments and lengthy paid leave for childcare demonstrate the government's commitment to supporting families with children.
