Counter-Strike 2's invitees for the Masters 2024 tourney have been unveiled by Skyesports
The esports world is abuzz with excitement as Skyesports Masters 2024, an international Counter-Strike tournament, gears up to take place offline in India from April 8 to 14. This event is part of Skyesports' 2024 Counter-Strike 2 roadmap, which includes six international tournaments with a total prize pool of $1 million.
The Skyesports Masters 2024 is an expansion of the inaugural event launched in 2023, featuring a larger prize pool of $350,000. Eight top teams from around the globe will compete in Counter-Strike battles, with the champion taking home a significant share of the prize.
Among the teams invited to Skyesports Masters 2024 are Team Liquid, Ninjas In Pyjamas, ENCE, and BIG. ENCE, a renowned Counter-Strike team from Poland, is led by Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander, a 4-time Major winner. BIG, a German esports team with a stellar lineup, is also set to participate.
The European Qualifier for Skyesports Masters 2024 took place online around mid to late March 2024, between March 19 to March 31. Teams like 3DMAX and BetBoom Team competed, with close matches recorded, such as 3DMAX losing 1:2 to an opponent in the European Qualifier on March 21, 2024. The winner of the Europe Qualifiers will join the existing four teams in Skyesports Masters 2024.
Details for the India Qualifiers are yet to be disclosed, but the event promises to be a significant step in Skyesports' stride towards global expansion. The winner of the India Qualifiers will also participate in Skyesports Masters 2024.
In addition to Skyesports Masters 2024, Skyesports is hosting several other events. The Skyesports Grand Slam 2024, an earlier event in the roadmap, takes place in Pune, India from March 14 to 16. Skyesports is also hosting Championship 6.0, Skyesports Souvenir Colombo, Skyesports Global Tour in Thailand, and the India vs Pakistan Series in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
