Council Set to Present Findings to Assembly on Friday
On Friday, September 26, the city of Brunswick will be hosting a significant celebration in honour of Dennis Schröder, the reigning European basketball champion. The event, taking place in the afternoon at the Old Town Hall, will be open to all residents of Brunswick and the surrounding region.
The celebration coincides with the closure of the Old Town Market and museum, which will both be shut down from 1 PM. Traffic disruptions and bus rerouting are expected around the Old Town Hall from the same time due to the celebration event.
BSVG buses will be rerouted, and the Old Town Market will be closed to traffic. The museum in the Old Town Hall will also close its doors at 1 PM.
Mayor Dr. Thorsten Kornblum, who is hosting a reception for the occasion, expressed his delight at Schröder's return to his home town. "We are incredibly proud of Dennis's achievements and are thrilled to welcome him back to Brunswick," he said.
The highlight of the celebration will be around 3:30 PM, when Schröder is expected to appear on the balcony of the Old Town Hall with Mayor Dr. Thorsten Kornblum.
The event marks a homecoming for Schröder, who recently won the European basketball championship in Riga. However, there is no information available on what Schröder was involved in the day before his arrival in Brunswick on Friday, September 26.
The celebration is expected to draw a large crowd, and the city encourages everyone to come out and show their support for Schröder. For those planning to attend, it's important to note that traffic and bus routes may be affected, so plan accordingly.
We look forward to celebrating Dennis Schröder's success with the city of Brunswick!
