Could it be that Bong Go is to face charges from the International Criminal Court?

In a shocking turn of events, the affidavit of Arturo Lascañas, the former leader of the Davao Death Squad (DDS), has shed light on alleged assassinations that took place in Davao City during Rodrigo Duterte's tenure as mayor.

According to Lascañas, orders for executions or abductions often came through Buenaventura or Go, a reference to then-special assistant to Duterte, Christopher "Bong" Go. The affidavit also suggests a close relationship between Go and Duterte, with Go being mentioned frequently.

One of the most significant revelations in the affidavit is the account of an order to kill Senator Antonio Trillanes IV. Around November 2016, Lascañas received a most urgent request to devise an operation plan (oplan) for this purpose. An hour later, an order to kill him was received, with the chilling phrase: Patya nâ ninyo, pare. Ilubong para dili na makit-an. Clear na nâ kang Superman (You kill him, bro. Bury him so that he will be forever missing. Superman has given the go-signal). It is important to note that Rodrigo Duterte, known as Superman by his squad of killers, is frequently mentioned in the affidavit.

The affidavit also reveals the existence of two parallel death squads, the Heinous Crime Task Group under Lascañas, and the death squad of Dela Rosa, both funded by the mayor's intelligence funds.

Despite these allegations, it is crucial to highlight that there is no credible evidence or information from recent and authoritative sources to suggest that Christopher "Bong" Go was involved in the Davao Death Squad killings under Rodrigo Duterte's mandate. Bong Go is recognized mainly as Duterte’s close aide and political ally, eventually becoming a senator, but none of the sources associate him directly with the DDS or ordering killings.

Similarly, regarding the International Criminal Court (ICC) indictment in the Duterte case of alleged crimes against humanity, there is no indication that Bong Go will be included in such an indictment. The ICC’s actions thus far have focused on Duterte and his administration’s policies, particularly on the war on drugs and related killings. Bong Go’s name does not appear in contexts linking him specifically to the ICC investigations or charges.

In conclusion, based on available information, Christopher "Bong" Go has not been implicated in the DDS killings, nor is he currently reported to be included in ICC indictments connected to Duterte’s human rights cases. The affidavit of Arturo Lascañas, however, provides a chilling account of alleged extrajudicial killings during Duterte's time as mayor of Davao City.

War-and-conflicts, politics, general-news: The affidavit of Arturo Lascañas has brought to light allegations of extrajudicial killings in Davao City during Rodrigo Duterte's tenure as mayor, which has led to discussions and debates in the political sphere.

Crime-and-justice: The affidavit also suggests a possible link between Christopher "Bong" Go and Rodrigo Duterte, as well as a hidden death squad under Duterte's administration, but it's important to note that there is no credible evidence connecting Go directly to the Davao Death Squad killings.
