Cottbus president openly expresses his views during Cigerci Hickhack event!
In a developing transfer saga, Tolcay Cigerci, one of the standout players for Energie Cottbus in the last 3rd league season, has not yet been transferred to Alemannia Aachen. Despite Aachen's official interest and initial discussions, the deal remains uncertain due to two key factors set by Energie Cottbus.
Firstly, Cigerci himself must express a clear desire to leave Energie Cottbus. Without his consent, the club is not willing to negotiate seriously. Secondly, Energie Cottbus demands a "utopically high transfer fee" that reflects Cigerci's sporting value, given his impressive goal-scoring record of 15 goals and 7 assists last season.
Claus-Dieter Wollitz, the coach at Energie Cottbus, has made it clear that only if such a high sum is offered could they consider selling Cigerci, as the club would then reinvest that money in quality players. The total package for Cigerci would exceed one million euros, taking into account both the transfer fee and the salary multiplied by the remaining years on his contract, which runs until 2027 and does not include an exit clause.
Meanwhile, Energie Cottbus has signed a new trial player with promising prospects, but the identity of this player has not been disclosed. The club is heading into its training camp this Thursday, and Cigerci will be in attendance, ready to contribute to the team's preparations.
Alemannia Aachen, on the other hand, continues to express interest in Cigerci. This interest is not new, as Aachen's sports director Erdal Celik contacted Energie Cottbus about Cigerci last week. The new coach at Aachen, Benedetto Muzzicato, had a successful time with Cigerci at Viktoria Berlin, which could potentially sway Cigerci's decision should he decide to leave Energie Cottbus.
However, with Energie Cottbus holding the negotiating power, it remains to be seen whether Aachen can meet the club's financial demands and whether Cigerci will express a clear desire to leave. The transfer saga continues, creating a "transfer thriller" atmosphere around Cigerci's future.

Tolcay Cigerci's future in European-leagues could potentially lie with Alemannia Aachen, as the sports director Erdal Celik has shown interest in the footballer. However, Energie Cottbus, Cigerci's current club, is keen on keeping him due to his impressive goal-scoring record in Serie-A, with a total package worth more than one million euros.
