Corona Doc in the Dock: Eight Months Behind Bars
In Dresden, the long-awaited trial for Dr. Bianca W., a 66-year-old practitioner from Moritzburg, commenced at the District Court. Charges against her include issuing counterfeit mask tests, PCR, and rapid test results, as well as vaccination certificates, totaling over 30,000 euros. The prosecution is alleging up to four years in prison, and new charges of unauthorized weapon possession have also been added following the discovery of a "Taser" during a raid on her home and practice.
An Enormous Trial Awaits

The trial, expected to run until the summer of 2024, will take place within the high-security courtroom of the District Court in Dresden, a place once home to the Remmo clan jewel thieves and the Freital terror cell.
Bomb Shells Before the Trial Commences
The trial had barely started before conflicting scenes arose. Dr. W.'s lawyer challenged the proceedings, leading to an astonishing 2-hour presentation of the 1000 alleged false tests and certificates, which proved unsuccessful.
Exclusion of Defense Counsel
On November 10, one of the defense lawyers was excluded from the proceedings by the Higher Regional Court, amidst concerns of potential conflicts of interest. This administrative action, last used during the RAF trials in the 1970s, has added an extraordinary twist to the proceedings.
A Controversial Courtroom
Criticism arose from supporters and independent observers regarding the treatment of the accused doctor. The uncompromising attitude of the prosecution, continuing pre-trial detention, and the presence of the defendant in handcuffs during the trial have all contributed to an atmosphere of unease.
