Cordoba CF commences the new campaign: "The objective is to gradually score in the tournament"

Córdoba CF, the Spanish football club based in the heart of Andalusia, is gearing up for the 2025/26 season with a series of preparatory measures aimed at ensuring a strong start.

The team's focus has been on the health and fitness of its players, with medical checks for eleven individuals, including Kevin Medina and Cristian Carracedo, taking place at the Hospital San Juan de Dios. The rest of the squad will undergo similar examinations next week.

The importance of being fresh for the first game, which is set to take place in Gijon, has been emphasised by both Carracedo and Iván Ania, the club's manager. Ania expressed his desire for all players to be available for the opening fixture.

In addition to physical preparation, Córdoba CF is also incorporating human profiles into its strategy, as Medina pointed out. This approach aims to strengthen the team and create a family-like atmosphere off the field.

As part of their pre-season training, the team will travel to Oliva (Valencia) for a concentration stage from July 29th to August 5th. This period will involve physical conditioning, tactical drills, team bonding, and friendly matches to build squad cohesion.

The first team will officially present their new signings and squad at the Bahrain Victorius Nuevo Arcangel on July 25th at 9 pm. Medina described the first meetings with the new signings as very positive, hinting at exciting additions to the team.

Córdoba CF's enthusiasm among fans is evident, with more than 10,000 season ticket holders already secured. The club will present their team to this passionate audience at the Bahrain Victorius Nuevo Arcangel, marking the beginning of the 2025/26 season in style.

The competition will set objectives little by little, according to Carracedo, as the team aims to secure a strong league position with the objective of promotion to La Liga or at minimum avoiding relegation. For Córdoba CF, the 2025/26 objectives would likely include aiming for promotion play-off qualification given the competitive nature of La Liga 2 (also known as La Liga Hypermotion for sponsorship).

The 2025–26 Segunda División season starts mid-August 2025 and runs through late May 2026, with 22 teams competing, including Córdoba CF. Matches will be played across various stadiums, including Córdoba CF’s home ground. The league features clubs relegated from La Liga as well as promoted teams, making the campaign highly competitive.

Further updates on specific player signings, precise dates of medical tests, and other pre-season details for Córdoba CF will likely be announced by the club closer to or during the pre-season period. Keep an eye on Córdoba CF's official communications or trusted sports news for the latest updates as we approach July/August 2025.

The team's focus on creating a family-like atmosphere off the field, as mentioned by Kevin Medina, might also involve incorporating shared interests such as sports and football, potentially including discussions about European leagues like La Liga, given the objective of promotion for Córdoba CF.

In the pursuit of stronger team cohesion during pre-season training, friendly matches against various opponents could potentially include teams from different European leagues, potentially boosting the team's morale and strategy ahead of the 2025/26 season.
