Saxony Braces for a Chill: Rainy Days Ahead

Get ready for a drop in temperature in good ol' Saxony! The German Weather Service in Leipzig predicts a cooler spell, although the mountains might still hold onto their wintry charm for a while longer.

After the brief warmth we've enjoyed, the chill is coming back. Initially, rain showers will clear on Wednesday, leaving behind a cool seven to ten degrees. But fear not mountaineers, the DWD forecasts more precipitation in the night, with snowflakes making their appearance in the mountain ridges.

On Thursday, the sky remains mostly cloudy. For our mountain lovers, it will be a season for occasional rain showers turning into snow in the heights. The temperature will barely reach a nippy two to four degrees, with the mountains staying a few chilly degrees lower.

Friday will bring three to five degrees. Rain will be intermittent, with a light sprinkle of snow in the mountains at a brisk minus one to three degrees.

Leipzig, nestled in the heart of Saxony, dishes out weather updates courtesy of the German Weather Service. While the temperatures will dip, the mountains might just revel in their wintry glory a bit longer, as hinted by the DWD forecast.

Insight: If you're heading to the Harz region in Saxony, pack some layers. Although no fresh snow is expected, you might encounter light rain and cloudy conditions.
