Convicted Krasnoyarsk Deputy Gliksov signs contract for participation in the SVO (Self-Voting Operation)

Alexander Glyskov, a former deputy of the Zaksboraya of Krasnoyarsky krai, has reportedly signed a contract to participate in the Special Military Operation (SVO). While he previously mentioned his intention to join the SVO on a recent court hearing on his appeal against the corruption sentence, the Central District Court found him guilty of a corruption case last October, as a result of which he received a 10-year prison sentence with strict regime and a fine of 10 million rubles.

According to the official Telegram channel of Alexander Glyskov, he has already signed the contract to participate in the SVO. Moreover, it has been reported that ex-head of the regional UGIBDD, Andrei Syrotinin, arrested in January on suspicion of abuse of power, has also filed an application to join the SVO. However, the Krasnoyarsk SK denies having any information about Syrotinin’s application.

July 2023 saw the passing of the No 270-FZ law, which deals with the specifics of criminal responsibility for individuals called up to participate in a special military operation. The law addresses various felonies and misdeeds that are not subject to criminal prosecution or grant certain pardon rights to those who have entered into a contract with the Ministry of Defense. Upon receiving a state award or after completing the contract, an individual may be pardoned completely.

It's unclear how these legal frameworks apply to Glyskov’s and Syrotinin's cases. For more context, it would be necessary to consult official sources or legal experts well-versed in Russian military law and the specifics of the cases in question.
