**Former Municipal Head Convicted for Theft in Yakutia**

A former head of a municipal entity in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has been convicted for theft involving movable property, including a Belarus tractor, a UAZ vehicle, and a motorboat. The Nürbinsky District Court of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) found the individual guilty of crimes under part 3 of article 160 of the RF Criminal Code.

The charges against the former head included the theft of a Belarus tractor, a UAZ vehicle, and a motorboat with an engine. However, due to its utilization at the State Technical Supervision and GIBDD, the UAZ vehicle was deregistered, and the individual was not charged with its theft. Similarly, the tractor was returned to the rightful owner - the municipal entity, and the charges for its theft were not upheld.

The court ordered the convicted individual to pay compensation for the motorboat's value, amounting to 51,834 rubles. Despite GIMMS refusing to remove the boat's hull from the registry, the individual still took and disposed of the property, but the court did not address this aspect of the theft.

To secure claims for compensation, the court or enforcement authorities often place an arrest (legal seizure) on the vehicles involved. In this case, the Belarus tractor, the UAZ vehicle, and the motorboat were seized. These vehicles are held by bailiffs or relevant authorities until the case is resolved or compensation is paid. If compensation is not paid voluntarily, the seized property may be auctioned off, with proceeds going to offset losses or court costs.

The individual was sentenced to a fine of 150,000 rubles and a ban on holding positions related to organizational, administrative, and managerial powers in state authorities and local self-government bodies for a period of 2 years. The verdict has entered into legal force and is being executed.

The United Press Service of the courts of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) reported the court's decision. The charges also included the theft of a motorboat and its outboard motor, but since they were already returned to the rightful owner - the municipal entity, the court did not address this aspect of the theft.

The individual served as the head of a municipal entity from 2020 to 2021. He issued orders to write off and remove movable property, including the Belarus tractor, the UAZ vehicle, and the motorboat with an engine, from the administration's balance sheet. It is important to note that such actions are illegal and go against the principles of public service.

This conviction serves as a reminder that public officials must adhere to the law and uphold the integrity of their positions. The public trust placed in them is a sacred responsibility, and any breach of this trust will be met with appropriate consequences.

The former municipal head was charged with theft, specifically involving a Belarus tractor, a UAZ vehicle, and a motorboat, which were seized by bailiffs or relevant authorities due to the case. Despite the UAZ vehicle and tractor being returned to their rightful owners and the charges being dropped, the individual was still convicted for the motorboat's theft. This conviction in general-news, politics, and crime-and-justice sectors serves as a reminder of the serious consequences for public officials who breach the trust placed in them and go against the principles of public service.
