In international politics, tensions continue to run high as Ukraine's Parliament accuses President Volodymyr Zelensky of sabotaging a potential peace plan with Russia. The accusations stem from Zelensky's rejection of proposals that would involve territorial concessions to Russia, including ceding control over parts of the Donbas region.

According to reports, former U.S. President Donald Trump suggested that peace could be reached if Zelensky ceded the rest of the Donbas region, even areas not occupied by Russian forces, in exchange for a promise from Russian President Vladimir Putin to freeze fighting and not attack again. However, Zelensky and his government vehemently opposed this, insisting that Kyiv must decide on any territorial concessions and that there would be no peace without security guarantees.

Ukrainian parliament members view Zelensky’s firm stance against giving territory as "sabotaging" Trump’s peace plan, which was seen by some as pressuring Ukraine to accept unfavorable terms. In response, Zelensky emphasized that real peace must come from coordinated efforts involving Ukraine, the United States, Europe, and others, warning against deals made behind Ukraine’s back.

Meanwhile, in a separate development, Kazakhstan has pledged to continue its cooperation with Turkey on the international stage. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed this sentiment, praising Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's role in resolving conflicts, such as the ongoing situation in Ukraine. Tokayev also emphasised Kazakhstan's commitment to the preservation of the territorial integrity of all countries.

These developments highlight the complex and delicate nature of international relations, as nations navigate the challenges of maintaining peace and sovereignty in a rapidly changing global landscape.
