Controversy surrounding Stallorder continues, with Piastri now in the spotlight following the recent incident.

In the recent Italy Grand Prix, both McLaren drivers, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, found themselves at the centre of a controversial pit stop order. Piastri, a 24-year-old Australian, ended up behind Norris after a long stop in Monza. This was due to a botched pit stop that required Piastri to let Norris pass him back. Piastri, expressing his disappointment, stated that he did not deserve the second place in Monza with his speed. Following the incident, Piastri and Norris held clarifying talks with McLaren team bosses. The discussions, led by team chief Andrea Stella, were about how Piastri and Norris want to race in Formula 1 moving forward. Despite the controversy, Piastri finished third in the race, maintaining his 31-point lead over Norris in the championship. With eight races left this year, Piastri also has a 94-point lead over four-time world champion Max Verstappen. Norris, on the other hand, finished second in the Italy Grand Prix. Both drivers acknowledged that you can't plan every single scenario in Formula 1 racing, and that team orders can sometimes be a tactical advantage or disadvantage. Interestingly, there is no number one driver at McLaren, with both drivers treated equally. However, Piastri let Norris pass on team orders in Monza, which may have made him an easy target for criticism. As the season continues, Piastri and Norris will undoubtedly face more challenges and opportunities. They have agreed to keep the details of their discussions with the team bosses private, at least until after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Verstappen of Red Bull won the Italy Grand Prix, but Piastri's consistent performances and McLaren's strong team effort could potentially lead to another constructors' title in Baku.
