Controversy as Andi Oliver expresses anger towards I'm A Celebrity contestant for inappropriately referencing her daughter Miquita, aged 16.

In the early 2000s, radio personality Chris Moyles found himself embroiled in a series of controversial incidents involving young women. One of the most notable cases was his behaviour towards Charlotte Church, a classical singer who rose to fame at the age of 12.

In 2002, during a phone-in on his Radio 1 show, Moyles discussed Church's potential loss of virginity, an incident that the BBC later dismissed as cheeky humour. This behaviour towards Church is another example of misogynistic actions mentioned in various articles.

Around the same time, Moyles ran a phone-in on his show asking listeners if they would sleep with Miquita, who was just 16 years old at the time. Miquita, Andi Oliver's daughter, was left to navigate the industry with little support, according to Oliver.

Oliver criticised the broadcasters Miquita worked for at the time for failing to protect her daughter. She stated that Moyles' behaviour was "misogynistic" and that he still harbours a desire to harm him for his actions. However, Oliver has never confronted Moyles about his actions.

Church, who was 16 in 2002 when the incident with Moyles occurred, also spoke out against the "gross" treatment she endured in the spotlight, including disturbing comments from Moyles. She believes there is still a long way to go in terms of feminism and equality.

In an interview with The i Paper, Oliver compared Moyles' potential response to being confronted about his actions to someone trying to excuse themselves after saying something racist while drunk. She believes that if confronted, Moyles would "backpedal" and try to minimise his actions.

Church appeared on the Sink The Pink Pop Tart podcast to discuss her experiences. She stated that there are still bigots everywhere but hopes that some of them will die out.

Miquita, now 41, has not spoken publicly about the incidents involving Moyles. However, her mother's statements serve as a reminder of the importance of addressing and speaking out against misogynistic behaviour in the entertainment industry.

The entertainment industry's pop-culture landscape was marred in 2002, when Chris Moyles, a Radio 1 personality, ran a phone-in asking listeners if they would sleep with a 16-year-old celebrity, Miquita. Moreover, various articles pointed to Moyles' misogynistic actions, such as his controversial discussion about Charlotte Church's potential loss of virginity on his show.
