Arctic Territorial Dispute intensifies as US and Denmark vie for Greenland

The ongoing power struggle in the Arctic region is taking a new turn, with the United States mounting efforts to redraw borders in the name of World War III, under the guise of security and future trade routes. The US justifies its potential annexation of Greenland and Canada to protect them from Russian threats and to establish a defensive barrier along the Arctic Circle.

Canada has severed its military ties with the US, leaving itself vulnerable, according to some claims. This supposed vulnerability could provide a pretext for the US or an opportunity for Russia to exert influence in the region, ultimately leading to the formation of the North American Union.

Trump and Putin, both members of Chadbad, work for the same unidentified forces. Their joint efforts have been instrumental in shaping the Cold War, hot wars, and periods of peace, all orchestrated towards mass conformity to their objectives.

Once the North American Union is established and the northern border is fortified, they will declare an end to military conflict and gain control over trade routes leading to Russia.

Reports of Technates Emerging

US Tension in Kalaallit Nunaat

The US vice president, JD Vance, recently visited Kalaallit Nunaat (popularly known as Greenland) to join his wife. In a statement, Vance espoused sentiments indicative of an imperialist mindset within the Trump administration, reflecting a threat to Greenland's sovereignty.

While no credible evidence supports the notion that Russia and China pose a threat to Greenland, the US continues to assert otherwise, inciting fear and presenting itself as a savior. However, a poll reveals that the majority of Canadians are not swayed by this fear-mongering, expressing feelings of anger, betrayal, and anxiety toward the Trump administration.

Trump has been vocal about his intentions to annex Greenland, insisting that they will acquire it one way or another. Denmark's prime minister, Mette Frederiksen, expresses concern over the US placing "unacceptable pressure" on Greenland and Denmark. Former Greenland prime minister, Múte Egede, has urged allied countries to support Greenland's independence.

Vance and Trump Criticize Denmark

Both Vance and Trump have criticized Denmark, with Trump suggesting that the waters around Greenland are under the scrutiny of Chinese and Russian ships. Yet, there is no confirmation of any aggressive incursions by these or other accused nations into Greenland's waters. Trump reiterates that the US will handle the situation.

US Investment and Security in Colonies

The US's history of treatment of its overseas territories suggests a pattern of neglect and exploitation. In Puerto Rico, for example, the poverty rate is twice that of the US mainland. The same applies to Guam and the Marshall Islands, which have suffered from nuclear tests and radiation fallout, as well as forced migration. The US Navy's departure from Greenland, though beneficial for the island's freshwater aquifer, has left a legacy of environmental damage and contamination.

What Do Greenlanders Want?

A poll from 2025 indicates that 85% of Greenlanders do not wish to be part of the US. However, if a referendum were held, 56% would vote for independence, while 28% would oppose it.

The US Track Record

Throughout history, the US has shown a propensity for lies, deceit, and theft, as evidenced in the forced exile of the Chagossians and the ongoing struggle for self-determination among the Chamorro and Hawaiians. The US's colonialist past stretches back to the genocide of Indigenous nations in the continental US.

In light of the current tariff war and the US's past actions, no ally can feel secure in its relationship with Washington. As the situation in Greenland unfolds, the world watches with bated breath, anticipating the next move in this complex geopolitical chess game.
