Continued warm temperatures forecasted in Latvia for the upcoming week
Weather Forecast for Latvia: Mild Weekend Ahead, Followed by Cooling Trend
Latvia is set for a mild weekend, with temperatures dropping after Friday, according to the latest weather forecast.
Friday, August 15 will see maximum temperatures around 26°C, with minimum temperatures of about 16°C. Winds will be light, ranging from 2 km/h southeast in the morning, shifting to northeast, then northwest at 5 km/h by early afternoon. Cloud cover will vary between 59% and 87%, with no precipitation expected.
Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17 will be cooler, with highs around 19°C and lows near 14°C each day. Wind speeds are not specified, but they are expected to remain light, given the prior days. No rainfall is forecasted for these days either.
Monday, August 18 (early next week) will continue the trend of stable mild weather from the weekend.
Throughout the weekend, fog will form at night and in the mornings in many places, and winds will die down. The coast will have cooler temperatures around +7 C. There will be no precipitation over the weekend.
Parts of Kurzeme, Zemgale, and the Rīga area will see temperatures rise to 13-15 C during the weekend. Air temperatures will not drop below +4 C to +7 C at night on Thursday and will reach +9 C to +13 C during the day.
Rain will fall in the east of the country overnight, clearing from the west during the day. However, it's worth noting that the warm weather pattern will not last past early next week, with temperatures cooling down from mid-week onwards.
From mid-week onwards, the weather will become significantly colder and potentially snowy. Nighttime temperatures will have snow and frost. The sun will shine in Kurzeme in the morning, but the sky will clear over most of Latvia by the evening.
It's important to note that while this forecast does not predict any severe weather or strong winds for the period in Latvia, it's always a good idea to stay informed and prepared. Keep an eye on updates from local weather authorities for the most accurate and detailed information.
