Who Can Run?
All individuals with international roots and all residents in Bergisch Gladbach who are champions for a diversity-embracing society can run for election. The only requirement is the passion to represent your community and the willingness to take responsibility.
Voting Rights
Anyone who isn't a German national under Article 116, Paragraph 1 of the Basic Law, possesses a foreign nationality, gained German nationality through naturalization, or obtained German nationality according to Section 4, Paragraph 3 of the Nationality Act in the consolidated version published in the Federal Law Gazette Part III, Serial Number 102-1, last amended by the Act of August 28, 2013 (BGBl. I p. 3458), is eligible to vote.
