In the upcoming Juddmonte International race at York, a global spectacle is expected to unfold as the Japanese horse Danon Decile prepares to take on some of the best in the sport.

Danon Decile, trained by Shogo Yasuda, is no stranger to high-stakes competition. Last season, he won the Japanese Derby and finished third in the Arima Kinen. His most recent victory came in the Dubai Sheema Classic at Meydan in April. However, since then, his European rivals, including Calandagan and Rebel's Romance, have claimed Group 1 victories.

Danon Decile will be ridden by Keita Tosaki, who will be making his debut at the track. Tosaki has received advice from Christophe Lemaire on how to approach the Knavesmire with Danon Decile.

Meanwhile, the Juddmonte International is expected to be a strong race this year, with many horses having more experience than See The Fire, a homebred of Jeff Smith. See The Fire, trained by Andrew Balding, has a pedigree that includes both Sea The Stars and Arabian Queen, both of whom have won the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Since her Middleton Stakes win at York by a margin of 12 lengths in May, See The Fire has finished third in two Group 1 races, including behind Ombudsman in the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Despite the strong competition, Balding believes that See The Fire's previous successes at York will give her an advantage. He also believes that the Juddmonte International should make her very competitive. Interestingly, See The Fire is the only horse in the lineup with previous wins at York.

Good ground is expected to be an advantage for See The Fire in the Juddmonte International. This is a relief for Balding, as the trainer of Danon Decile, who has not been seen since his Dubai Sheema Classic win.

In a surprising move, Daryz, a colt trained by Francis Graffard, is aiming for a fifth straight success but is prepared to lose it to better equip for the future. Daryz took the step up to Group 2 level in his stride when winning the Prix Eugene Adam at Saint-Cloud.

The Juddmonte International is a race that is expected to attract global stars, in addition to the Eclipse principals. As the countdown to the race begins, all eyes will be on Danon Decile and See The Fire, two horses poised to make their mark in this prestigious event.
