Construction on State Road 2394 to last until October, as announced by Laaber officials
State Road 2394, a crucial route between Laaber and Eisenhammer, has been under construction since August 18, 2025. The State Building Authority Regensburg is overseeing the construction work, with the company Damm carrying out the extensive works.
Unfortunately, the construction period has been extended due to the discovery of unexpected and extensive contamination in the subsoil. This unforeseen issue has caused delays, pushing the initial completion date back to approximately October 10, 2025.
During this period, a detour via Hemau, Deuerling, and Laaber will remain in effect. The full closure of State Road 2394 will remain as well, with various utility and service providers carrying out additional work during the construction.
The construction work includes repairs to the road surface and retaining wall at Spitalmühle. Upon completion, State Road 2394 will be available again in a permanently stable and safe condition for traffic.
The State Building Authority Regensburg has asked for the understanding of road users and residents regarding the extended construction period. They are working diligently to ensure the safety and efficiency of the road once construction is complete.
In the meantime, it is advised to plan alternative routes and allow extra travel time when commuting through the area. The authorities appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time.
