You know that leisurely three-month window they had for requesting documents from builders? Well, they've just got three weeks now, thanks to the brand-new state building code that's been given the green light by the state parliament.
Buckle up, because once they've got all the documents they need, they gotta make a decision—grant or deny—within three months, too. If they fail to make a call within that time, guess what happens? That building application is automatically approved, my friend!
But wait! There's more! Simplifications galore have been given the thumbs-up to streamline the building process. For instance, residential roof expansions are now permit-free! And for the bigger construction projects, you don't even need to build a playground if you fork over a certain fee to the local municipality.
Master craftsmen can now submit building applications for smaller abodes to the building authority, something they couldn't do before. Plus, more solar panels can be installed on rooftops due to reduced setback areas. goodness gracious, the heat pump installation process has become a breeze, too!

The Commission shall be assisted by the Member States in the implementation of this new Decision, as they speed up permit processes for buildings in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Despite the accelerated pace, builders may find relief in exemptions for small residential roof expansions, which no longer require permits. Interestingly, the approval process for larger construction projects eliminates the need to build a playground when a certain fee is paid to the local municipality, thus allowing more simplifications in the building process, including an easier heat pump installation process.
