Construction of storm drains planned on Mukhachov Street by Biosk
In the heart of Biysk, two significant stormwater drainage projects are underway on ul. Mukhacheva and ul. Merlin. These initiatives, aimed at managing water flow and handling large volumes of water, are being overseen by Alexei Bannov, the acting deputy head of the city.
The project on ul. Merlin, a key focus, involves the use of horizontal directional drilling due to the new asphalt. As part of the project's budget, the asphalt on ul. Merlin will be restored. Seven manholes will be installed along the approximately 250-meter length of the stormwater drainage system, and two new intake manholes will be added to help the system handle large volumes of water.
The stormwater drainage system on ul. Merlin is scheduled to be completed by the end of September, according to the contract. The cost of the project is 4 million 300 thousand rubles.
Meanwhile, construction of stormwater drainage is also underway on ul. Mukhacheva, 230. SGC, a party involved in the construction, will ensure the system is designed to effectively manage both rainwater and groundwater. The purpose of the system is to manage water flow specifically at ul. Mukhacheva, 230.
Despite extensive online searches, specific details, cost, timeline, or impact on the city regarding stormwater drainage projects on ul. Mukhacheva and ul. Merlin could not be found. However, the city administration reported this development, and the details were explained by the mayor's office.
It's important to note that the project in Zarechye is not detailed in this report. Nonetheless, these stormwater drainage projects mark a significant step towards improving Biysk's infrastructure and managing its water resources effectively.

- The project on ul. Merlin, an environmental-science endeavor, includes the installation of seven manholes and two new intake manholes to handle large volumes of water, as part of a stormwater drainage system designed to manage both rainwater and the city's weather conditions.
- The science-driven project on ul. Mukhacheva is specifically designed to manage water flow at that location, with the involvement of SGC ensuring that the system is effective in handling both rainwater and groundwater, contributing to Biysk's ongoing efforts in environmental-science and infrastructure improvement.
