Construction facility of notable company under attack by Russia: fires ignite vehicles, people hurt
🔨 Stricken Again: Ukrainian Construction Firm Under Fire 📣
Avtomahistral-Pivden, a road construction and fortification company based in Ukraine, has suffered another blow as Russian forces attacked their production base in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
In a grim statement, the company reported that their equipment intended for repairing frontline roads, along with buildings housing a canteen and employee accommodations, have been reduced to rubble. Two of their workers have also been injured in this attack, one of whom had to be hospitalized.
Curiously, this isn't the first time the Russian forces have aimed their wrath towards Avtomahistral-Pivden. Previously, their equipment, construction sites, and bases have been targeted, leaving several employees injured while working on a fortification along the Donetsk Oblast border.
Obviously, the war has taken a heavy toll on the company, with losses amounting to over UAH 2 billion [approximately US$48 million].
📅 Flashback: Back in February, the company reported the tragic death of some of its employees who were constructing fortifications on the Pokrovsk front.
🔵 Did You Know? The most recent attack wasn't merely a Shahed drone strike but also saw vehicles being engulfed in flames during the assault. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine, with its strategic targeting of infrastructure like Avtomahistral-Pivden, only intensifies further each day.
