Constanz Firefighters Shine at Stuttgart Combat Challenge
The Constanz Fire Department has returned from the 3rd Firefighter Combat Challenge Stuttgart with notable success. The event, held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, saw three of their members, Andreas Wilhelm, Sven Reuter, and Tim Schaffert, participate and achieve impressive results.
The challenge, hosted at the Panzerkaserne Böblingen by the US Army Garrison Stuttgart, attracted teams from various fire departments in the Stuttgart region and US military bases in Germany, including Spangdahlem and Ramstein. All three Constanz participants competed in the 'Individual' category, wearing breathing apparatus throughout the demanding course.
Among them, Tim Schaffert, in his first participation, secured a remarkable second place in his age group. Andreas Wilhelm and Sven Reuter also paired up in the 'Tandem' category, demonstrating teamwork by symbolically passing a baton at the changeover.
The Constanz Fire Department congratulates its participants on their outstanding performance. Their achievements reflect the department's commitment to high standards and teamwork. Tobias Heckenkamp, the newly appointed head of the fire brigade command in Konstanz, praised the team's efforts and looks forward to their continued success.
