Allegations of electoral deceit levied against Merz during AfD's factional gathering - Conservatives in Germany, specifically the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, have levied allegations of electoral fraud against Frederick Merz, a prominent political figure.

In the political landscape of Germany, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party has been making waves with its controversial stance on several key issues. During their recent faction retreat, the party's position paper did not mention calls for "zero tolerance" for violent crime, further tightening of border protection, or stopping "unjustified entries." However, this does not mean that these issues are not important to the party.

Tino Chrupalla, co-fraction leader of the AfD, has been vocal about his demands for an immediate reduction of electricity tax for companies and private individuals. This call for tax reduction seems to be a central theme in the party's current agenda.

One of the most contentious issues that the AfD has been advocating for is the halt of the energy transition and the extension of the operating lives of coal-fired power plants. This position has been met with criticism from environmentalists and those who support the move towards renewable energy sources.

The search results do not specifically mention any accusations against Friedrich Merz during the AfD's faction retreat. However, the political dynamics between Merz's Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and the AfD have been a topic of discussion. Merz has been firm in his stance against collaborating with the AfD, considering such a partnership unacceptable for the CDU.

The AfD has been gaining popularity by criticising establishment immigration policies and advocating for more nationalist and right-wing positions. They have capitalised on public discontent with these policies to secure significant electoral gains. The party's policies generally focus on stricter immigration controls and opposition to mainstream political stances, which have resonated with some segments of the German electorate.

Interestingly, the AfD's position paper does not mention any support for reintroducing conscription or lifting sanctions against Russia. However, the party has expressed support for repairing and putting back into operation the German-Russian Nord Stream pipelines and for lifting sanctions against Russia for its war of aggression against Ukraine.

The AfD has also demanded a "duty to work" instead of citizens' money, a moratorium on the construction of wind turbines, and the abolition of CO2 tax in the transport and building heating sectors. The party has also expressed support for strengthening the Bundeswehr and reintroducing conscription.

It's important to note that the current focus of the AfD is not on criticizing Alice Weidel or Friedrich Merz for election fraud in their campaign or unfulfilled promises, as was previously mentioned. The retreat consultations for the AfD's parliamentary faction are to continue until Sunday.

The AfD party, despite not directly mentioning it in their recent position paper, has demonstrated a consistent focus on reducing electricity taxes for companies and private individuals, a key aspect of their current agenda.

In the realm of EC countries' employment policies, the AfD has advocated for a "duty to work" instead of unemployment benefits, a position that has been one of their key policy-and-legislation proposals.
