Confirmation of David Gilmour's Tour Film and Live Album for Later This Year - Trailer Preview Shows Pink Floyd Tune Samples
David Gilmour's Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome concert film and live album, The Luck and Strange Concerts, are set for release in September and October 2025 respectively.
The concert film, capturing Gilmour's 2024 performances at Rome’s Circus Maximus, will be available in cinemas and IMAX theatres worldwide starting from Wednesday, 17th September 2025. The film will be shown for a limited time in theaters globally.
On the other hand, the live album The Luck and Strange Concerts will be released on Friday, 17th October 2025. The album, featuring 23 tracks, will be available in various formats including CD, vinyl, and a Super Deluxe boxset worldwide. On the same day, the concert film will also be available on Blu-ray and DVD.
The Super Deluxe boxset comes with a 120-page hardback book of tour photos by Polly Samson. The album was recorded during various dates on the tour at five cities: Brighton, London, Los Angeles, New York, and Rome.
The concert film and album document Gilmour’s 2024 tour supporting his latest album Luck and Strange, blending iconic solo and Pink Floyd songs. The album includes a duet between Gilmour and his daughter Romany on the song Between Two Points.
In Live At The Circus Maximus, Rome, Gilmour performs songs from the Pink Floyd songbook, including Time, Comfortably Numb, and Wish You Were Here. Tickets for the cinema screenings can be purchased at Gilmour's website.
It's worth noting that the album was not mentioned to be available in cinemas or IMAX theatres, and its availability in these locations is limited. The trailer for Live At The Circus Maximus, Rome includes selections from Gilmour's Luck And Strange tour.
