Stevie Nicks Announces Remastered Reissue of "Buckingham Nicks" Album
Rock legend Stevie Nicks, known for her time with Fleetwood Mac and her successful solo career, has announced a significant musical comeback. The upcoming release is a remastered reissue of her debut album with Lindsey Buckingham, originally titled "Buckingham Nicks," which was first released in 1973.
The inspiration for this reissue came after the devastating fires that swept through Los Angeles in January. Nicks shared the news with her fans on Instagram, expressing that the fires had a profound impact on her and influenced the creative direction of the album.
Originally released before their time with Fleetwood Mac, "Buckingham Nicks" will be re-released in mid-September in a CD format for the first time. The album is available for pre-order as of late July, following the announcement indicated by a billboard spotted in Los Angeles.
Unfortunately, Nicks has had to postpone several shows on her North American tour due to a fractured shoulder. She announced a two-month pause to the tour, with hopes to resume in early October. The scheduled August and September shows have been postponed, and new dates will be announced soon.
Nicks spent several months in a hotel after leaving her house in the heavily affected Pacific Palisades neighborhood due to the fires. Despite the challenges, she has remained dedicated to her music and the creation of a new album.
Though the release date for a new original studio album by Nicks after the Los Angeles fires is yet to be confirmed, the remastered reissue of "Buckingham Nicks" is the notable upcoming release. Nicks made a name for herself as a solo artist, and this reissue promises to showcase the early beginnings of her musical journey with Buckingham.
