Stevie Nicks' Upcoming Re-Release of "Buckingham Nicks" and Postponed Tour
Rock legend Stevie Nicks, known for her work with Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist, is set to re-release her old album "Buckingham Nicks" with her ex-boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham. The re-release is scheduled for September 19, 2025, and will include remastered tracks, bonus material, and alternative takes, including a live version of Fleetwood Mac's "Rhiannon".
This reissue marks the first official remaster and commercial re-release of the album, which was originally the only studio album by the duo before they joined Fleetwood Mac. The announcement and promotional efforts around this release have included handwritten lyric exchanges by Nicks and Buckingham and a billboard spotted in Los Angeles.
However, Stevie Nicks' current endeavours are not limited to this archival project. She has also been working on a new album, the idea for which came after the devastating fires in Los Angeles in January. Due to these fires, Nicks had to leave her house in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, and she has since spent several months in a hotel.
Unfortunately, Stevie Nicks' August and September shows on her North American tour have been postponed due to an injury she sustained, which she fractured her shoulder. She announced this news to her fans on Instagram. Despite the setback, Nicks hopes to resume her North American tour in early October.
It is yet to have an official release date, but Nicks' new album is expected to be inspired by the fires in Los Angeles. There is no indication of a new solo studio album by Stevie Nicks made specifically after the LA fires, with focus instead on this significant archival reissue project.
Nicks has also stated she is done with Fleetwood Mac as a band and suggests no reunion is planned involving Lindsey Buckingham beyond this reissue. The re-release of "Buckingham Nicks", however, promises to be a significant event in Nicks' musical career, offering fans a chance to revisit the duo's early work and enjoy remastered versions of their songs.
