Rod Stewart Hits the Brakes on Six Shows Due to Health Issues

Additional six shows called off - Concerts Cancelled: Addition of Six More Events to the Cancellation List

Hey there! Guess what? Rock legend Rod Stewart (80),, known for his smashing tunes, is in some hot water. Seems like he's had to axe six more shows due to some health troubles and we can all guess the man's bummed about it.

Sick as a Dog

The British belter had to pull the plug on two performances at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas earlier this week, all thanks to the doc's orders. Now, he spilled the beans on his Instagram: "I gotta cancel and push back my next six shows in June 'cause I'm still kicking the flu. I'm truly sorry, my mates. I'm wrecked and really apologize for the headache I've caused my loyal fans." You can bet he feels terrible. But he did drop a hopeful little hint: "I'll be back on stage and I'll see ya'll soon."

Waving the White Flag in Vegas and Stateline

The shows on June 7, 8, and 10 in Vegas, along with the one in Stateline on June 14, are now in the sin bin. Two shows planned for June 12 and 15 in California will be bumped to September 20 and 21, respectively.

Now here's the good news. Stewart is all set to take the stage at the legendary Glastonbury festival in Somerset, England on June 29. And get this - he's got a mini-reunion with his former band, Faces, lined up! His old buddy Ronnie Wood (78), who's no stranger to the spotlight having played with both Faces and the Rolling Stones, will tag along.

Lately, Stewart's been facing his fair share of health hassles. In May, he needed to rest his voice, and back in August 2024, he delayed several shows because of a COVID-19 infection. Even before that, he canceled his 200th Vegas show thanks to a sore throat.
