Concert dates for D4vd scrapped from online platforms following the gruesome discovery of a girl's lifeless body in Los Angeles.
In a shocking turn of events, the upcoming European tour of the popular Gen Z artist d4vd has been abruptly canceled due to an ongoing investigation. The singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is currently under scrutiny as the owner of a Tesla in which the decomposed body of a 15-year-old girl named Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of death, but the discovery has sent waves throughout the music industry. The singer's European tour, set to begin in early October, was scheduled to kick off in Norway on October 1st. However, at least nine of the scheduled dates have been canceled.
The first cancellation was announced for Norway, followed by the singer's scheduled performance in San Francisco on Friday. The last two remaining dates of d4vd's US tour have also been removed from ticketing websites, with the singer's last US tour stop in Los Angeles on Saturday being marked as canceled on Ticketmaster.
Investigations are ongoing, and the status of d4vd's upcoming European tour remains unclear. The singer's representatives have not responded to requests for comment regarding the investigation or the status of the tour. However, it has been reported that d4vd's representatives have stated that he has been cooperating with authorities since the body was found.
Celeste, who was last seen in April 2024 in Lake Elsinore, about 60 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles, at the age of 13, was reported missing last year. Her body was found inside an impounded Tesla, with multiple news outlets reporting that the vehicle was registered to d4vd.
The singer, who went viral on TikTok in 2022 with the hit "Romantic Homicide," signed with Darkroom and Interscope in an unspecified year. He released his debut EP "Petals to Thorns" and a follow-up, "The Lost Petals," in 2023. The singer is known for his unique blend of indie rock, R&B, and lo-fi pop, making him a favourite among Gen Z audiences.
Despite the ongoing investigation, some of d4vd's shows in Sweden, France, Poland, and Australia in December are still available for purchase. The singer's scheduled appearance at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles on Wednesday has been removed from the venue's website.
As the investigation continues, fans and the music industry await updates on the case and the future of d4vd's career. Police have not yet confirmed whether the singer owns the Tesla in question.
