In a heartfelt video shared on her Instagram account, German pop star Jasmin Wagner, known by her stage name Blümchen, announced the cancellation of her planned farewell concert in Hamburg. The concert was set to mark the end of her farewell tour, but the singer had to make a difficult decision due to a severe family emergency.
Blümchen, who rose to fame as a teen star in 1995 with the hit song "Herz an Herz," revealed that her mother is very seriously ill. The singer broke down in tears as she explained that caring for her mother now takes absolute priority, and planning a joyful event under these circumstances is impossible.
The singer thanked her fans for their understanding, patience, and love, emphasizing that sometimes life, and especially family, just comes first. The date for the concert remains undetermined, as the timing for dealing with severe illness is unpredictable.
Despite the cancellation, Blümchen's followers showed an outpouring of support and understanding in the comments. The singer, who is currently focusing on her daughter, born in 2022, returned as Blümchen in 2019 and released her latest song "Raver Girl" in 2024.
Blümchen had been planning a final concert in her hometown of Hamburg to end her farewell tour. However, the singer wants to take care of her mother and fully enjoy her last concert when the time is right.
