Compulsive Gamer Anime Sequel: Kakegurui Returns for a Second Season
In the world of animated adaptations, the anticipation for a second season of Kakegurui continues to grow, despite the limited amount of original source material left.
Originally a popular manga written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Toru Naomura, Kakegurui has captivated audiences with its unique blend of gambling, power dynamics, and high school drama. The television series adaptation, directed by Yuichiro Hayashi, first aired in Japan last year.
The plot revolves around students attending the Hyakkaou Private Academy, a school for the wealthy and privileged, where the social hierarchy is determined through gambling games.
