Comprehensive 33-hour chronology of Tyler Robinson's actions... coupled with disconcerting durations where his whereabouts remain unexplained

In a shocking turn of events, Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old man, has been arrested in connection with the assassination of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University last Wednesday. Robinson, who was on the run for 33 hours, was ultimately caught by his father and a local minister, not through direct police intervention.

The manhunt began on September 10, when a single .30-06 round from a Mauser Model 98 was fired from the roof of the Losee Center, hitting and killing Kirk at 12:23 pm. Robinson, who was seen on surveillance cameras on the campus at 11:53 am and 12:12 pm, with a noticeable limp near the Losee Center, was the prime suspect.

Robinson's parents, Matthew and Amber, were convinced of his involvement and recognized him from the photo shared by authorities. After a phone call between Robinson and his parents, he implied that he was the shooter and expressed a desire to take his own life. In the hours he remained free, Robinson messaged friends on Discord, openly admitting he was the shooter.

Robinson fled the scene and traveled approximately 250 miles south to his home in St. George, Utah. It was during this time that he exchanged messages with his transgender lover, revealing details about the murder weapon and the attack. The timing and means of his travel from Orem to St. George remain unclear.

The FBI's Salt Lake City Office posted about the shooting on social media for the first time at 4:21 pm on September 10. However, Kash Patel, the director of the bureau, incorrectly announced the suspect's arrest at the same time. It was actually George Zinn who was arrested at the scene.

On September 12, Robinson turned himself in to the police in Washington County, aided by his family and a minister. Robinson appeared in court on the same day wearing an anti-suicide vest and is facing seven counts, including a capital murder charge, over the killing of Kirk. The Utah County Jail records show that Robinson was arrested at 4 am and was formally booked into the jail at 7:58 am.

As the investigation continues, more details about the motive behind the assassination and the events leading up to it are expected to emerge.
