Key projects in Saxony-Anhalt include the creation of underground hydrogen storage facilities in Bad Lauchstädt and the construction of a hydrogen pipeline running from Bad Lauchstädt to Salzgitter in Lower Saxony. Existing natural gas pipelines are also being converted to hydrogen, creating an extensive pipeline network from Leipzig through eastern Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg, Berlin, and Rostock. 🚶🏽♂️🌍
This newly-completed 25-kilometer pipeline will eventually transport 2,700 tons of green hydrogen per year. But remember, the electrolyzer is still under construction in the Energy Park, and an offloading facility is being built in Leuna.
