Competitor Ashit Sharma claims victory in Spartan Mega Stack tournament
Revamped Recap: Mega Stack Dominates Spartan Poker 🚀
Ahoy, poker enthusiasts! Buckle up as we dive into yesterday's exhilarating gameplay at Spartan Poker's Mega Stack tournament, boasting a whopping INR 12 Lakhs GTD prize pool.
With a captivating 366 entries hurdling into the fray, the virtual poker tables buzzed with anticipation. A whopping INR 3,300 buy-in per entry paved the way for a robust prize pool distribution. The top 31 places were generously rewarded, with the humblest min-cash settling at INR 10,560.
The night's ultimate victor was none other than Ashit Sharma, alias 'Loki19', who bagged the first-place prize of a jaw-dropping INR 2,53,800. In a thrilling showdown against Destiny 8.0 SnG finalist 'Quion', Sharma sealed the deal with a final hand featuring 'Eights and Sixes', leaving his opponent, Quion, with only 'Sixes'.
Quion put up a valiant fight, shoving pre-flop with the decent King and Queen of Hearts. However, Sharma, holding the powerful Eight and Ace of Hearts, outmaneuvered him with the mighty Four, Two, Eight, Six, and Six of Clubs. The runner-up was resigned to a modest INR 1,70,880 prize.
Delighted with his win, Sharma shared his thoughts, "Mega Stack had always been that one tourney on Spartan where I hadn't done well in the past. Last night was no walk in the park; it was a tough field, and I managed to make the best of it." He confided that he was a mere short stack when there were four players remaining, but maintained his composure and managed to edge his way into the heads-up. With relentless determination and a refusal to accept a deal, he clinched the victory.
Sharma, a dedicated online player, boasts a rich history of deep runs within the poker scene. His extensive accolades include a triumph at the Electra tournament on Spartan Poker back in May 2018 and a recent win at the Spartan Flash in late January 2019. His sights are now set on converting his winnings into more feature money across various platforms.
Regular participants who made it to the money brackets include proud warriors such as Sagar Choudhury aka 'lolMinions' (INR 1,20,480), Sumit Sapra aka 'holla@yoboy' (INR 42,840), and others.
