Federal Police Competition 2025: Physical Aptitude Test Scheduled for September

The much-anticipated Federal Police competition in Brazil is moving forward, with the Physical Aptitude Test (PAT) scheduled for September 13 and 14, 2025. The competition notice offers 1,000 vacancies across various positions, including agent, clerk, fingerprint expert, delegate, and expert.

The PAT will serve as an elimination phase, evaluating candidates in fixed bar, horizontal jump, 50m swim, and a 12-minute run. The tests are conducted in sequence, with a minimum interval of five minutes between exercises. Candidates can alternate between running and walking during the run, as long as the minimum distance is reached within the regulated time.

The call for the PAT and the completion of the Confidential Information Sheet (CIS) will be released on September 5. The CIS is a form that candidates fill out, providing personal data and declarations required in the competition process, usually submitted before or during the physical tests.

The objective test for the competition had 120 items in a "true" or "false" format. The scores of the objective test will be final, with no possibility of appeal. The final result of the objective test and the provisional result of the subjective test will be published on August 20, 2025.

For the subjective test, the delegado position required answering three subjective questions and producing a legal/professional piece in Administrative, Constitutional, Penal, and Criminal Procedure Law. For other positions, the requirement was a dissertative text of up to 30 lines.

The careers of agent, clerk, and fingerprint expert start at R$ 15,164.81, with an adjustment to R$ 15,710.10 from 2026. For delegate and expert, the initial remuneration is R$ 27,800, reaching R$ 28,831.70 in 2026. There is also a R$ 1,000 food allowance as a benefit.

Appeals against the subjective test will be accepted from August 21 and 22, 2025. For the exact schedule and detailed requirements for the current Federal Police competition, candidates should consult the official public notice (edital) issued by the Federal Police or the National School of Public Security (ESSP), as these officially specify dates, formats, and minimum standards.

The Federal Police competition is now entering the results phase, with the publication of the final result of the subjective test scheduled for September 5. Stay tuned for more updates!

Policy-and-legislation related discussions about the Federal Police competition may focus on the subjective test appeals, as appeals will be accepted from August 21 and 22, 2025. General-news coverage could also include reports on the Physical Aptitude Test (PAT), scheduled for September 13 and 14, 2025, as it is a crucial phase in the competition process.
