Competition known as the Kuban Cup took place in close proximity to Krasnodar
In the picturesque village of Novotitarovskaya, the third and final stage of the Kuban Cable Wakeboard Cup took place, drawing athletes and enthusiasts from various regions of Russia. The event, which began in Anapa and continued in Novokubansk, was marked by high levels of preparation among the participants, as stated by the main judge, Mikhail Katyushin.
The weather conditions at the event slightly affected the participants due to wind, making it difficult to perform certain elements on the water. However, this didn't deter the competitors, who were determined to showcase their skills. Each participant in the final was given two attempts to ride the course, allowing them ample opportunity to impress the judges.
The finals decided the winners in three categories: men (amateurs and professionals), women (professionals), and no age restrictions were mentioned. In the men's amateur category, Anatoly Buimov from the village of Afipsky emerged victorious. Damir Ganeev, a rider from Tyumen who has been practicing wakeboarding for 15 years, won in the men's professional category. Anastasia Mersova from Moscow took the top spot in the women's professional category. The current women's professional winner of the Cuban Cable Wakeboard Cup, Karen Paola, also participated in the competition.
Participants were free to perform any elements, both on the water and using plastic figures, during their attempts. This freedom allowed for a diverse and exciting display of tricks and stunts, bringing a thrill to the event. The performances were filled with adrenaline, self-overcoming, fear, and a wide range of emotions, including joy and fun, as Damir Ganeev explained.
A correspondent from the "Krasnodar" TV channel was present at the event, capturing the excitement and energy of the competition for viewers at home. The Kuban Cable Wakeboard Cup's third stage in Novotitarovskaya concluded with a sense of camaraderie and anticipation for the next year's event. The winners will now hold the title of the Kuban Cable Wakeboard Cup champions until the next competition.
