UKBFF Channel Islands Wellness and Physique Competition: Luc Langlois Sweeps the Board

The UKBFF Channel Islands Wellness and Physique Competition took place at the newly-refurbished Opera House on Sunday, with some impressive performances from the athletes. Among the winners was Luc Langlois, who dominated the competition by taking home three titles.

Luc Langlois, who plans to compete in the Bridge finals in two weeks' time, was awarded Overall Mens winner and first in the Junior Bodybuilder and Bodybuilder over 90kg categories. He also secured a win in the Classic Physique category, and it was "good to get a win under my belt" before the Bridge finals, he said.

In the Women's category, Hayley Burrows was crowned Overall Women's winner and placed first in the Wellness category. Her achievement made "all the little sacrifices worth it," she said. Burrows also intends to compete at the British Championships at the end of this month.

Dylan Ford, who placed second in the Junior Bodybuilder category, took home the first prize in the Classic Physique category. Ford, who aims to spend the next two years growing muscle and compete again, said he was "delighted" with his performance.

Other winners included Behold Manyangadze, who was awarded Junior Mens Physique winner, ChelseaLea Stokes, who was awarded Fit Model winner, and Tracy Le Bail, who was awarded Master Bikinis 40+ winner. Ecaterina Angheluta was awarded Bikini Beginners and Bikini Open winner, while Masimba Nyamajiwa was awarded in the Classic Bodybuilding category.

Virginija Mazintiene was awarded Master BodyFitness winner, and Debora Cardoso was awarded Master Bikinis 35+ winner. Unfortunately, specific participant names for the competition in 2022 are not publicly listed.

The competition was sponsored by BodyRox gym, and the athletes were judged on muscle quality, body symmetry, stage presence, and their ability to pose. The event was a great success, with the athletes putting in a lot of hard work and determination to take home the top prizes.

Hayley Burrows, who was particularly proud of her performance, said it was "an amazing feeling to win the overall title and to be able to represent the UK on the international stage." Langlois, who used the same routine as when he competed 10 weeks ago for the competition, said he was "looking forward to the Bridge finals and hoping to continue my winning streak."

Overall, the UKBFF Channel Islands Wellness and Physique Competition was a fantastic event that showcased the dedication and talent of the athletes involved. With the Bridge finals just around the corner, it will be exciting to see how the winners fare in their upcoming competitions.
