Compete against Ülemiste Centre's leader by outrunning them and contribute five euros to aid Olympic athletes
The Ulemiste Night Run, scheduled for August 15 at 22:00 and 22:03, is more than just a running event in Tallinn. This year, it's also a chance for participants to support Estonian Olympic athletes on their journey to the top.
Guido Pärnits, the head of the Ulemiste Centre, is taking part in the event and invites everyone to join a special challenge. Runners who manage to complete the 5-kilometre distance faster than him will trigger a donation of 5 euros to Estonian Olympic athletes. This initiative is part of the event's charity drive to help fund and support the athletes.
The donations will be directed to the Estonian Olympic Committee's crowdfunding platform, Minu Sportlane. The platform allows anyone to support Estonian athletes, ensuring that every contribution reaches the chosen athlete or team in full, with no commission deducted.
Kristo Tohver, Secretary General of the Estonian Olympic Committee, considers Guido Pärnits' initiative a great example of how sport can unite and inspire society. He hopes that Guido's example will prove contagious.
Last year, Guido Pärnits completed the 5-kilometre distance in over 34 minutes, finishing in 812th place. This year, he's encouraging everyone to beat his time and support the athletes.
The donations from the Ulemiste Night Run will support Estonian athletes preparing for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The Alexela Team Estonia, consisting of three leading athletes - epee fencer Katrina Lehis, swimmer Kregor Zirk, and decathlete Karel Tilga - are among those who will benefit from the event.
If you value sports and want to give something back to Estonian athletes, the Ulemiste Night Run is your opportunity. Join the challenge, beat Guido Pärnits' time, and make a difference in the lives of Estonian athletes.
