Marmstorf Shooting Festival: A Celebration of Tradition and Community

The Marmstorf Shooting Festival, a cherished local event, is set to take place from Friday, 5th to Monday, 8th July. This year's festival promises a series of exciting events, including the determination of the new Marksmen King of Marmstorf.

On Monday evening, at 7 pm, the marksmen will gather for a parade through Marmstorf, culminating in a wreath-laying ceremony. At 7:30 pm, the proclamation of the new king will begin, marking the end of Jochen Meyer's reign. Known as "The Flexible", Jochen Meyer has been the current Marksmen King of Marmstorf since his coronation.

Jochen Meyer, who started his reign as a single man, is now officially together with his queen, Katja. The proclamation ceremony will be followed by an open dance, inviting everyone to join in the celebration.

The festival grounds will open at 3 pm on Friday, offering a vibrant mile of activities around the festival grounds in Marmstorf. The Grand Tattoo, a grand military-style parade, will take place at 8:30 pm at Langebeker Weg 1c. The event will feature the Marmstorf Brass Band and the Seevetal Wind Orchestra, adding a musical touch to the proceedings.

Saturday will see a Grand Fireworks Display at 10:30 pm, lighting up the Marmstorf sky. The disco in the Shooting Range Nova will start at 8 pm, providing an evening of entertainment for all.

For non-marksmen, there's an opportunity to participate in public shooting on Sunday from 10 am to 12 pm at the club's shooting range.

Ralf Schneidewind and André Rutterschmidt serve as adjutants to Jochen Meyer during his reign. The festival promises to be a celebration of tradition, community, and camaraderie, and a fitting tribute to the outgoing king.

For the most accurate and current details, you might want to check local Marmstorf community announcements or contact the festival organisers directly. The festival is an exciting event not to be missed!

Other sports are likely to be available for visitors to enjoy besides the shooting events during the Marmstof Shooting Festival. The festival will also host the Grand Fireworks Display, creating a spectacular show for attendees to enjoy other forms of entertainment.
