Despite some sporadic rain, it miraculously remained mostly dry over the Nürburgring until late Saturday afternoon. The forecast predicted showers and scattered thunderstorms for the event itself.
The four-day concert, attended by 90,000 fans, played host to about 100 acts from Friday to Sunday. Nearly identical lineups graced the stages at the concurrent Rock im Park in Nuremberg. Pre-sales for the following year got underway on Tuesday, with Linkin Park announced as the headliner on Friday.
