Get ready to lace up your boots, sports enthusiasts! 1. FC Magdeburg, fresh from their summer break, are diving back into the action on June 18th. The preparations for the upcoming season in the 2nd Football League are about to kick-off, starting with a series of medical examinations and warm-up matches against partner clubs from lower leagues.
Just like last summer, Magdeburg will head to Bad Wörishofen for their training camp. From the 2nd to the 10th of July, the team will sweat it out in the Swabian region. On the agenda are two thrilling encounters against Swiss first division clubs FC Luzern and FC Winterthur, scheduled for the group tournament in Elgg, Switzerland.
Mark your calendars for July 19th! That's when our team, with an upcoming Coach decision still in the air, will face regional league club Chemnitzer FC in an exciting pre-season match (4:00 PM local time). A week later, the season opener at home against Bundesliga powerhouse VfL Wolfsburg (3:30 PM) will have everyone on the edge of their seats. The new season kicks-off on August 1st, with the match schedule set to drop on June 27th.
