Fired Up Performances: A Recap of the Ostholstein Joint Venture's Track and Field Adventures

Fueled by determination and grit, the Ostholstein joint venture rocked the track and field scene in Lübeck on May 1st. Jette Knorr gave a stellar performance in the triathlon, securing the 5th spot, closely followed by Liv Buttkus and Hauke Schmidt, who both placed 6th. Gyde Janshen flew past her opponents in the 100m sprint, clinching the victory, and narrowly missing the long jump podium with a distance of 4.51 meters. Jolina Behnke shone in the 100m sprint, finishing in 3rd place, while Donata von Ludowig set a new personal best in the 800m run and placed 2nd in 2:31 minutes. Kilian Schweigler rounded off an astounding day with a 3rd place finish in the 200m sprint and a 2nd place finish in the long jump. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The adrenaline-fueled events continued on May 10th in Braunschweig, where the U16 and U18 girls' 4x100m relay teams showcased their prowess. The U16 team nabbed a well-deserved 2nd place, while the U18 team took home the gold. Bella Rath claimed 3rd place in the 100m, Johanna Faasel sprinted her way to 4th, Jolina Behnke impressively placed 3rd amidst a strong field of 100m runners, and Lisa Sommer raced to 8th place.

Sports continue to ignite passion within the Ostholstein joint venture, as evident in their subsequent performances in Braunschweig on May 10th. The U16 and U18 girls' 4x100m relay teams displayed their athleticism, with the U18 team dominating to secure the gold, while the U16 team impressively earned the silver.
