Commemorative musical event marking the 80-year milestone of National Day anniversary
The city of Hanoi is set to host a special concert titled "Homeland in Our Hearts" on August 10 at the My Dinh National Stadium. This event, jointly organized by the Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Hanoi People's Committee, is a gift to the people and a celebration of significant anniversaries.
The performance space is arranged in a V shape, standing 26 metres high, serving as a vibrant declaration of the love and pride that every Vietnamese person holds for their homeland. The stage is designed on a national scale, divided into four zones: Independence, Freedom, Happiness, and Red Flag with Yellow Star.
Singer Tung Duong, along with musicians Quang Haai, Anh Vien, and Le Van Cong, and many sports figures who have brought glory to the nation on international stages, will perform in the concert. Notably, 68 soldiers from the Army Officer School No. 1, who represented the Vietnam People's Army at the parade in Red Square, Moscow, Russia, will also appear.
Le Quoc Minh, a prominent figure in the Central Party Committee, will oversee the concert as the editor-in-chief of the Nhan Dan newspaper. Nguyen Huu Vuong will arrange and "revive" timeless songs with a contemporary sensibility for the concert.
The concert is expected to be a free event for the public, affirming the pioneering role of the Nhan Dan newspaper in creating a cultural and spiritual space.
