Commemoration of German Unity: festivities at the municipal building
On the 3rd of October this year, the city of Duisburg will host a special concert festival titled "Music without Borders". This event, which takes place annually, will be held in the Rathaus-Versammlungshalle, the meeting hall of the town hall, situated in the heart of the city centre.
The concert festival is not just an entertainment event, but a significant part of the ceremonial occasion commemorating the reunification of Germany, celebrated as the National Day of German Unity. This day marks a significant event in the recent history of the Federal Republic, marking the reunification of East and West Germany in 1990.
