Get ready to raise your spirits, Tomsk! On May 9th, the Stepanovka microdistrict is gearing up for a grand celebration in honor of the Day of Victory. With intriguing performances, engaging activities, and a warm, community atmosphere, this event is a must-attend.

An Unforgettable Gathering

In the heart of Stepanovka, at 6/2 Botanical Alley, a festive concert will be held to pay tribute to our warriors of the Great Patriotic War. Organizers expect approximately 500 attendees, including Maxim Rezinov, a local representative in Tomsk's Duma.

Rezinov shared, "Year after year, we gather in Stepanovka to honor our veterans and commemorate their sacrifices in the name of victory. This day is not just about remembering the past; it's about acknowledging and cherishing our history, particularly as we celebrate this significant milestone."

A Smorgasbord of Fun

This celebration promises a varied mix of activities catering to all ages:

  1. Main Stage: Enjoy captivating performances from local acts, blending music, dance, and poetry all dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.
  2. Battlefield Kitchen: Step right up and indulge in classic soldier's porridge, served hot and hearty for all to enjoy.
  3. Children's Zone: Little ones will have a ball with interactive games and entertaining, war-themed activities, like trying on gas masks and handling replicas of wartime weapons.

A Special Connection

For Valeria Zinina, a Stepanovka resident, the Day of Victory isn't just another holiday—it's a family tradition. "My parents fought in the war, Dad survived the Finnish campaign and was stationed in Grodno before the war began. He spent time as a prisoner of war, but he eventually made it all the way to Berlin. He received two orders of distinction and lived well into his 80s. So, for us, this day is deeply personal."

Closing the Celebration

As the sun sets on this special day, the choral group "Fialka," composed of local pensioners, will bring the celebration to a close with a powerful rendition of the Day of Victory song, joined by guests from all corners of the microdistrict. Don't miss this momentous occasion—join us in Stepanovka on May 9th as we herald the spirit of unity, courage, and victory!
