Commemorating the 95th anniversary of the VDV takes place at the Victory Museum
The Victory Museum in Moscow hosted a thematic program on August 2 to commemorate the Day of the Airborne Forces. This annual event, part of the "Victory Park. Main Patriotic" program, was conducted with the support of the Government of Moscow.
The program was a vibrant celebration, attracting thousands of Muscovites and city guests. It featured a variety of performances, including those by cadets of the airborne school, the "Wind of Victories" club, renowned artists from the "Moscow Concert" and local vocalists and musicians. A special concert, "Only Us!", was prepared by the Union of Russian Airborne Forces.
Visitors had the opportunity to engage in interactive activities. At the "Reds Army Paratroopers" site, instructors demonstrated special equipment and taught how to put on a parachute. Both adults and children could learn to control a parachute and land correctly on special suspension systems.
The program also offered an immersive experience at the memorial complex on Poklonnaya Hill, where visitors could learn about the role of parachute-deployment troops during the Great Patriotic War and even make a jump from a low height. At the Museum "GORA", guests could participate in workshops on packing parachutes under the wing of the legendary Li-2 aircraft.
The Victory Museum's thematic program was supported by various information partners, including TV and radio company "Zvezda", "NASHE Radio", NSS, media holding AO "Moscow Media", newspaper "Arguments of the Week", media holdings "FederalPress" and "Vechernyaya Moskva", Information Agency "Mangazeya", and RIA "Pobeda RF".
